New: Nine West Jareth boots

I have been looking for a pair of black ankle boots I could wear on nights out for quite a while now. I own plenty of black ankle boots, but unfortunately black suede doesn't take spilled drinks very well...

Because I know that these boots are going to be, well, trashed, I didn't want to spend an awful lot of money. When I found these (real leather) boots on the Shoeaholics website for just £39, I quickly decided to buy them. The £39 promotion is no longer on, but it is still worth taking a look, as they sell a lot of shoes from Kurt Geiger, Nine West and other brands for a fraction of the original price.

The only downside of these boots is that they are a bit too shiny for my liking. I have Googled this problem and apparently you can take the shine away with nail polish remover, but I don't think I'd like nail polish remover to come anywhere near a new pair of shoes. So I guess I'll just wear them on a night out soon. You all know what your shoes look like the following day...

Two new jumpers

I haven't been buying a lot of clothes recently, but I did buy two new jumpers, and I thought I'd show them today. Please excuse the quality of the pictures - there's hardly any daylight in my room.

Surviving two-hour lectures

Two-hour lectures are generally boring, sleep inducing and mainly really, really long. You might think that only having two hour long lectures would make me an expert in surviving them, but unfortunately it doesn't. I often find myself scrolling on my iPhone or simply trying not to fall asleep. However, there are a few things you can do to make those lectures a bit more bearable...

Three apps every student needs

As most students own a smartphone, I thought I'd write a little post on the apps you'll definitely need. Well, maybe not need. Apps you'll certainly use...

New: Topshop Premium plated shoulder bag

I truly didn't need another bag, but when I saw this one in the Topshop sale, I knew I had to have it. Unfortunately, it was sold out, so I had a little look around on the internet. I did eventually find it on the website of the Bijenkorf (a Dutch department store), but for a much higher price than at Topshop. When I checked again a few days later, it was on sale for just €26 (about £20) and I immediately bought it. I'm glad I did, because after my purchase it was sold out!

Moving on to the bag itself. It is a grey, leather shoulder bag with a heavy plated bit in the middle. The flap and the underside of the bag are made of a softer leather than the rest of the bag, which is a nice little detail. The bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap and two small pockets on the inside.

What do you think of this bag? I now have to go and look for a coat to go with it...
